Thank you for visiting our website. In this document, we inform you on the processing of your personal data by Athos Solar GmbH. Personal data means any data that can be directly or indirectly associated with you. Legal basis for data protection is in particular the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  

I. Visiting our Website

When visiting our website, our servers automatically and without any action on your part collect the following data via the browser used on your end devices:

  • IP-address of the user
  • Date and time of the user’s visit
  • Internet service provider of the user
  • Information on browser type and version used
  • Operating system of the user
  • Websites, from which the user’s system accesses our website
  • Websites accessed by the user’s system via our website

This data is also temporarily stored in the logfiles of our system. This data is not stored in the same place as other personal data of the user.

2. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

Temporary storage of the IP-address by the system is necessary to facilitate transmission of the website to the user’s computer. For this purpose, it is necessary to store the user’s IP-address for the duration of the session.

Logfiles are stored to ensure functionality of the website. We also use the data to optimise the website and ensure security of our information technology systems. In this context, data is not analysed for marketing purposes.

Our legitimate interest in data processing is derived from abovementioned purposes of data processing.

Legal basis for temporary storage of data is Article 6 Section 1 lit. f GDPR.

3. Storage Period

Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Therefore, data collected to provide the website is deleted as soon as the respective session ends. Data stored in logfiles is deleted after 7 days at the latest. Longer storage periods are possible. In such cases, the users’ IP-addresses are deleted or altered in such a way, that allocation of the retrieving client is no longer possible.

 

II. Usage of Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are text files stored on the internet browser or by the browser on the user’s computer system. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie includes a characteristic string, which enables clear identification of the browser when the website is visited again.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some segments of our website require for the retrieving browser to remain identifiable even after changing to another website.

User data collected by such means is anonymised with technical measures. Thus, allocation of the data to the retrieving user is no longer possible. Such data is not stored together with other personal data of the users.

When visiting our website, an information box notifies users on the usage of cookies and refers to this privacy notice. In this context, users are also informed on how the storage of cookies can be prevented in the browser settings.

2. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

Technically necessary cookies are used to facilitate the users’ visit of the website. Some features of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. These features require for the browser to remain identifiable even after changing to another website.

User data collected by technically necessary cookies is not used for the creation of user profiles.

Our legitimate interest in data processing is derived from abovementioned purposes of data processing.

3. Storage Period, Objection and Disposal Possibilities

Cookies are stored on the user’s computer, which then transfers them to us. Therefore, you, the user, have full control over the usage of cookies. By adjusting your browser settings, you may deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies already stored may be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated on our website, some features of the website may not be fully available to you.

Technically necessary session cookies are deleted from your computer as soon as you close your browser.

 

III. Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing

We use Google Maps on our website in order to show our location and create directions for you. This is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 US, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

Google guarantees, that EU data protection regulations are also adhered to when processing data in the US.

To enable certain fonts on our website, a connection to a Google server in the US is set up when visiting our website.

If you access the element Google Maps, as integrated on our website, Google uses your browser to store a cookie on your end device. Your user settings and data are processed to show our location and create directions. We cannot exclude that Google uses servers located in the US to provide this service.

With the connection to Google being set up, Google can determine which website sent the request and to which IP-address the directions shall be transmitted.

Subject to the fulfilment of the applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights:

  • Right to be informed on your personal data stored by us in accordance with article 15 GDPR,
  • Right to have false or incomplete data corrected or completed, respectively, in accordance with article 16 GDPR,
  • Right to have your personal data stored by us deleted in accordance with article 17 GDPR,
  • Right to restriction of the processing of your data in accordance with article 18 GDPR,
  • Right to data portability in accordance with article 20 GDPR,
  • Right to objection in accordance with article 21 GDPR.

Right to Objection in Accordance with Article 21 GDPR

Subject to the conditions of Article 21 Section 1 GDPR, data processing may be objected to for reasons arising from your special circumstances.

Abovementioned general right to objection applies to the processing purposes described in this privacy notice, which are processed on basis of Article 6 Section 1 lit. f GDPR. We are obligated to act on such a general objection, if you indicate reasons of superior importance, such as possible threats to your life or health. You may also contact the competent supervisory authority or our data protection officer.

Right to Raise Complaints with a Supervisory Authority

Irrespective of other administrative or legal remedies, you may raise a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement, if you are of the opinion, that processing of your personal data is in violation of the GDPR.

The supervisory authority, to which you submit the complaint, shall inform the complainant on the status and outcome of the complaint, including the possibility of legal remedy in accordance with article 78 GDPR.
